Orion’s Budget
Integration Project provides functionality to Licensee users that used to
be only available at corporate locations. These include submission to the
IRACS data warehouse, on-line BCD corporate rate lookups and vehicle
tracking at foreign locations.
Data submission to
Cendant’s data warehouse is done automatically through this project.
This eliminates the need to submit Perfect Drive reports monthly, or
bi-monthly. In the future it will also handle TARP and Frequent Flyer
submissions as well.
Counter agents
have the ability to lookup profiles within the Maestro database using that
customer’s BCN. Data retrieved from Maestro flows into the Contract Open
screen. Also, for customers with a BCD number, agents can retrieve current
corporate rates for that account within seconds. This can be done in the
Contract Open screen for walkup customers or during Reservation Entry.
Another feature of
the Budget Integration project is the One-Way rental processing. This
encompasses several features that are import to licensee systems; it give
agents the ability to close one-way rentals from foreign locations that
check into their location. It also means that one-way contracts leaving
your location will be able to be closed accurately by foreign locations.
This closing information will then be automatically transferred back into
the licensees system updating vehicle, contract and revenue split
information. Vehicle tracking information is also kept up to date as
transactions flow in form foreign locations. When a licensee vehicle is
used on a foreign contract, closing information on that contract is
automatically transferred into the Licensee’s system updating the
vehicle tracking and revenue split information.
Orion also
receives regular updates of the list of ‘bad’ or stolen Budget Credit
Cards. When a customer presents a Budget Credit Card for
authorization/payment on a contract, agents are able to do an on-line
check against that listing.
