Classic Plus consists of a series of software modules, several of which are included in the basic software package, other modules are optional. Modules required by all rental companies are included in the basic package. Certain rental companies, because of their size and/or the nature of their operation, require the functions contained in the optional packages.

With the Classic Plus system, your needs dictate. The source code comes standard with the Orion system and can be fully customized to meet your needs.

For example, the Advanced Reservations module provides additional capabilities for local reservation centers, together with an interface to receive and automatically integrate reservations from most national reservation centers, including Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty, and VIP-HARS. This module may not be required by a small, nonaffiliated rental business.

Rental Operations contains programs used by agents in their day-to-day activity. It’s an on-line, real-time system that instantly updates all critical data files and records. Information is current and errors common with batch-style systems are prevented.

Features Include

On-line opening and closing of rental agreements
Handles nonrevenue and foreign car rentals
Quick Rate Change to quickly and easily update rates
Displays available vehicles, including description and stall location
Handles split rates, vehicle exchanges, tour vouchers, and direct-bill customers

Automatic calculation of all time and mileage charges, refueling charges,  charges for additional and young adult drivers, baby seats, limited damage waivers, drop charges, taxes, prepurchased gas, and various surcharges

Local Reservation provides for the entry of local reservations and includes features that allow you to have the performance of a full local reservation center.

 

Features Include                                                                                        

Special screens for local reservation agents to quickly enter reservations
The screen displays available rates and a summary of rates by car class
Agents can add optional contract charges such as coverages, baby seats, etc.
Estimated total includes all location taxes and surcharges
Reservation agents are able to interact with customers and take "best rate"   reservations accurately. Agents can also create a rate during reservation add (if allowed by management)
Customer information can be entered and saved in the repeat customer file during reservation add, which speeds up the contract-open process
Insurance replacement/third-party billing can be entered here. This information will flow into the contract at the time of open
Reservations for previous customers interface with the repeat customer file to link stored data to new reservations
Reports are provided to monitor agent activity, reservation volume, reservation manifest, and fleet requirements
Deposit information can be entered and accounted for in the daily business reporting. Deposits automatically transfer to contract open
Supports immediate or batch printing of reservation confirmation notices

Daily Business helps you monitor and report on rental activity on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. It’s a comprehensive system for recording transactions, business statistics, and historical information. It can operate as a stand-alone module or interface with the optional accounting modules.

The Commission Agent module provides programs to account for and pay travel agents, hotels, or any other non-employee referring rentals to you.

Features Include

Reports on master files and transaction files
Tracks no-shows and reservation cancellations
Print commission reports
Supports commissions based on percentage of time and mileage or flat commission amount per rental
Prints commission checks as stand-alone module or through optional Accounts Payable module
Allows restart of interrupted check runs
Commission agent analysis reports can be printed alphabetically, geographically by zip code, or by most rental activity
Tracks commission agent activity by current period, last period, or all-time
Statistics tracked include: time and mileage gross income, commissions paid, number of rentals and reservations, and last rental and last reservation date

Vehicle Inventory is used to enter and maintain vehicle records and statistics. Vehicle master file inquiries and reports can be printed or displayed at any time. Fleet maintenance alerts can be created based on time or mileage. Fleet reconciliation and analysis reports can be run by year/make/model or city/location/company for any range of dates. Straight-line and accelerated depreciation methods are available.

Report Generator enables you design reports, extracting data from the files on your system. You specify column headings, report format, and any math between columns necessary to interpret the information contained in your report. This module is useful when the data contained in any of the 100+ reports supplied with the standard Orion system is insufficient.

Two screens are used to create reports
Data can be drawn from primary and secondary files
Column headings and widths can be user-defined
Report lists for any report in the system can be printed in summary or detail
Supports sorts in ascending or descending order
Fields can be selected by range of high/low
